#1. Joey Jordison
Nathan Jonas Jordison (born April 26, 1975 in Des Moines, Iowa), better known by his stage name Joey Jordison, is an American musician, songwriter, and record producer. He grew up in Waukee, Iowa with his parents and two sisters, and was given his first drum kit at the age of 8. However, when in his childhood, his parents divorced, leaving him and his two sisters to live with their mother. Part of this resulted in Jordison's grades being dropped in high school due to his interest in music. He performed in several bands until joining The Pale Ones in summer of 1995, a band which would change their name to Slipknot.With Slipknot, Jordison has performed on four studio albums, and produced the live album 9.0: Live. He is also involved in the band Murderdolls, which he helped establish while on tour with Slipknot. Originally named The Rejects, he has performed in both of their albums. Outside the majority of his projects, Jordison has performed with other heavy metal groups such as Rob Zombie, Metallica, and Ministry. While most of his performances with these bands were on tour, some albums, such as House of Secrets and the reissue of Hellbilly Deluxe 2 feature studio recorded tracks which have him performing. Jordison uses several drum brands including Pearl and ddrum.

#2. George Kollias
George Kollias (born August 30, 1977 in Korinthos, Greece) is a Greek heavy metal drummer best known for his work with American death metal band Nile. He is the first of their four drummers to perform every song on more than one full length album (handling drum duties so far on Annihilation of the Wicked, Ithyphallic and Those Whom the Gods Detest). He started playing drums at the age of 12 and some years later started drum lessons with Greek drummer Yannis Stavropoulos. In addition to being the drummer of Nile he also teaches drums at the Modern Music School in Athens.[citation needed]He previously drummed for Sickening Horror, a death metal band. He also used to be in the Greek melodic death metal band Nightfall, but left the band in 2005 to join Nile.
George Kollias made an instructional drumming DVD called "Intense Metal Drumming" that was released in July 2008.

#3. Chris Adler
Christopher James Adler (born November 23, 1972) is an American drummer, best known as a member of the metal band Lamb of God. He is the older brother to bandmate and guitarist Willie Adler.Chris Adler uses Saturn Series Mapex Drums, his own signature Black Panther 12x5.5" snare, and Gibraltar Hardware. He also uses and endorses Aquarian Drumheads, Pro-Mark signature Sticks, Trick V-1 PRO Pedals and Meinl Cymbals. Chris helped Meinl produce the 24" MB20 Pure Metal Ride for him and helped with the creation of the 12" Soundcaster Custom Distortion Splash. #4. James Owen Sullivan a.k.a The Rev (RIP)
James Owen Sullivan (February 9, 1981 – December 28, 2009), or The Reverend Tholomew Plague, often shortened to The Rev, was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the American metal band Avenged Sevenfold. He was also the lead vocalist in Pinkly Smooth, a side project where he was known by the name Rat Head, with fellow Avenged Sevenfold member, guitarist Synyster Gates. Sullivan grew up and lived in Huntington Beach, California. The Rev was found dead on December 28, 2009, at the age of 28.==========================================================================

Dariusz "Daray" Brzozowski (born 30 January 1980 in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki), is a Polish heavy metal drummer. Brzozowski has played with such bands as Vader, Masachist, Neolithic, Insidious Disease and Pyorrhoea. He currently plays in Dimmu Borgir,Vesania, Hunter and Black River. He is sponsored by Meinl.

#6. Roy Mayorga
Roy Maurice Mayorga (born April 6, 1970 in New York City, New York) is the drummer for the hard rock band Stone Sour. He is of Ecuadorian and Cuban descent.He officially joined Stone Sour on May 10, 2006 as a replacement for Joel Ekman. He drummed for their second release, Come What(ever) May, released August 1. Roy is endorsed by DW (Drum Workshop) and was endorsed by Zildjian Cymbals but it can be seen in recent videos that he now uses Sabian.
He is the current drummer for Amebix and currently writing new material to contribute to the next Stone Sour album for 2010.

#7. Mike Portnoy
Michael Stephen "Mike" Portnoy (born April 20, 1967) is an American drummer primarily known as the former drummer and backing vocalist for the progressive metal band Dream Theater. Known for his drumming prowess and technical skill, Portnoy has won 23 awards from the Modern Drummer magazine. He has co-produced the last six Dream Theater albums with guitarist John Petrucci, starting from Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory. From A Change of Seasons onwards, Portnoy had been writing a substantial amount of Dream Theater's lyrics, filling the void left by Kevin Moore, who left the band after the band's release of Awake. He is the second youngest person (after Neil Peart) to be inducted into the Modern Drummer's Hall of Fame (at 37 years of age).==========================================================================
#8. Yoshiki Hayashi
Yoshiki Hayashi (林 佳樹 Hayashi Yoshiki, born November 20, 1965, in Tateyama, Japan) is a musician, songwriter and producer. He is primarily known for co-founding the popular rock band X Japan, for which he plays drums and piano and writes most of the music. After the band disbanded in 1997 he participated in other musical acts and produced for other bands. In 2007 X Japan re-united and he has been performing with them since.

#9. Zbigniew Robert Prominski a.k.a. Inferno
Zbigniew Robert Promiński (b. December 30, 1978 in Tczew), stage name Inferno, is a Polish death metal drummer. He has contributed to bands such as Behemoth, Azarath, Witchmaster, Damnation, Artrosis and Devilyn. Also, his endorsements include Paiste, Trick, Spaun Drums, and Vic Firth.Inferno joined Behemoth in 1997. He is known as one of the fastest and most technically proficient drummers in today's death metal scene. An example of his drumming speed can be heard on the Behemoth song Modern Iconoclast from Zos Kia Cultus (Here and Beyond). Also at "Slaying The Prophets ov Isa" and "Pazuzu" from The Apostasy he has reached a tempo of 270bpm in the studio.[citation needed] Shemhamforash reached 275bpm in studio. Slaves Shall Serve was 270 bpm, but at Sweden Rock Festival in 2005, he played it at around 290bpm.
At NAMM 2008, Spaun Drums unveiled a 8x14 signature Inferno snare drum. The 18 ply Maple/Birch snare drum features a gun-metal finish with custom graphics and diecast hoops.In 2010 he changed his on the Paiste Cymbal.

#10. Neil Peart
Neil Peart (pronounced /ˈpɪərt/) OC, (born September 12, 1952) is a Canadian musician and author. He is the drummer and primary lyricist for the rock band Rush.Peart grew up in Port Dalhousie, Ontario (now part of St. Catharines) working miscellaneous jobs. His true ambition, however, was to become a professional drummer. During adolescence, he floated from regional band to regional band in pursuit of a career as a full-time drummer. After a discouraging stint in England to concentrate on his music, Peart returned home, where he joined a local Toronto band, Rush, in the summer of 1974. Early in his career, Peart's performance style was deeply rooted in hard rock. He drew most of his inspiration from drummers such as Keith Moon and John Bonham, players who were at the forefront of the British hard rock scene. As time progressed, however, he began to emulate jazz and big band musicians Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich. In 1994, Peart became a friend and pupil of jazz instructor Freddie Gruber. It was during this time that Peart decided to revamp his playing style by incorporating jazz and swing components. Gruber was also responsible for introducing him to the products of Drum Workshop, the company whose products Peart currently endorses.
Peart has received numerous awards for his musical performances, and is known for his technical proficiency and stamina.
